I can't even write about this, because there are so many extremely articulate blog postings flying around about this that I probably have nothing new to say, except this, by way of introduction: A certain someone I know has this idea that, in order to have children, you should have to apply for a license and wait out a short waiting period. That's it. No application fees, no criteria for approval, you just have to do it and think about it for a few days. Voila - no birth control, abortions, assisted fertility, or other reproductive stuff to deal with. All children wanted and loved. This, on the other hand, is the "Modest Proposal" version of that plan. Oy.
