I feel like a new person. Wednesday night I. took me out for a birthday dinner at our favorite restaurant (the place where we got married, actually). We had a great dinner, silliness and all. About 3 am the worm turned, and I spent that part of the night, the part where you should be snuggling with your honey under warm covers, on the bathroom floor. It was ugly - and it got uglier when, only a couple of hours later, I. started vying for her own spot on the bathroom floor. Ugh. I don't know if it was food poisoning, or a virus, or what, but we both spent all day yesterday on the couch, miserable. By the end of the day we'd managed to eat, between the two of us, a cup of rice, an english muffin, and a banana (and we watched a lot of Oprah). We called our homeopath a zillion times yesterday and got all sorts of bizarre advice, and today we both got up as human beings again. Miraculous! Assuming this snowstorm really does end today, we are off to New York for a long-planned birthday weekend to see Wicked on Broadway - hooray!

At least if you have to stay home, you're together :) Have fun in New York--sounds like a great time! -------- COMMENT-AUTHOR:Blogger avonlea COMMENT-DATE:8:16 AM COMMENT-BODY:Sorry about the food poisoning, that is so miserable. I hope you managed to get to the city to see the play. --------
