Can't say that this needs much explanation. I'm going to guess this was taken in 1978, though certain people who know me in real life might say that not much has changed. On a completely unrelated note, in re: last weekend's invitation to soon-to-be adoptive parents in the area to have dinner: not a single bite from anyone local, but lots of comments and emails from people I like so much but who are quite far away (and I don't mean road-trip far, even, but really, really far). Well, maybe another way. And though I love Afrindie Mum's suggestion of a videoconference dinner, I've heard that Indian food doesn't taste nearly as good via videophone. Damn.

You can't just put the invitation out there like bait and wait for people to find it. You have to go into full-blown stalker mode. Start searching out local bloggers, there are a million different ways to track them down. Eventually you build up a hefty-sized little group and you no longer look like a stalker but are instead known as social director. *grin* -------- COMMENT-AUTHOR:Blogger Johnny COMMENT-DATE:8:52 AM COMMENT-BODY:Yeah, I have to agree. I've found I had to "recruit".

You would think a faaaaabulous blog would be enough to entice people!

(and the lure of good wine doesn't do it either!) -------- COMMENT-AUTHOR:Blogger avonlea COMMENT-DATE:10:14 AM COMMENT-BODY:I never would have guessed you were a blonde! -------- COMMENT-AUTHOR:Anonymous Anonymous COMMENT-DATE:12:37 PM COMMENT-BODY:Yep, not that much has changed! --------
