My friend J. had her baby!!!! Quick labor (especially for a firt baby) yesterday morning, only two days past her due date, no intervention, at the birth center as she had hoped, and of course, the most important part: Lily. I "met" her today when J. called me from the birth center and held up the phone so I could hear Lily explaining to anyone who would listen her complete surprise at everything she's just been introduced to. Who would have thought that you could know from a kitten-like squalling sound how beautiful someone is?
